In May 2015 Nathan Patterson from Iluka Design prepared and delivered 6 workshops to the Year 7 students at St Joseph's College (305 students in total). I found Nathan to be extremely professional and reliable, we were able to communicate effectively which resulted in a very successful outcome for the College and our students.
Nathan delivered an engaging and informative presentation enabling our students to develop a richer sense of Indigenous Australian Culture with a focus on Indigenous Art based on Nathan's personal cultural heritage.
The students were clearly connected with his presentation which not only enhanced their knowledge, awareness and appreciation but also provided a hands on opportunity to use what Nathan had taught them in the production of communal art works which are now proudly displayed in the Year 7 classrooms. From my experience with Nathan and from the feedback that I received from staff and students I can recommend his educational workshops as providing an authentic insight into Indigenous Culture and Art.Simon Piasente - Year 7 Coordinator, St Joseph's College, Geelong
Thanks so much for today Nathan, the students and I really appreciate it.Megan, Belmont high school
You were inspirational, delivered and discussed exactly what the kids needed to know for their studies and for their own developing artwork.
Thank you so much for coming, our children had a great time learning about the aboriginal culture. We still remember the Didgeridoo and everyone dancing, was a great experience.
Thank you from all of us at Oakleigh South – North rd
